Music / Dance

About Project

Music is the life and soul of these children. Although they have not had any formal music or dance lessons in school, all the orphans get involved in singing and dancing each week at church and have a good natural sense of rhythm. This will be a great opportunity for somebody to put their own mark on the music and/or dance at the school, giving lots of room for the development of curriculum and your own teaching styles. There is also the opportunity to teach english with this placement, which would strengthen your application.

As part of the Chalkboard Team you will also need to help out with the day-to-day runnings of the orphanage, such as help serving food, play games with the children after school and bed time.
